Delbert ‘Del’ Miller, Texas

Delbert A. “Del” Miller, 75, of Abilene, Texas, died Sept. 8, 1995 at his home. Services were Sept. 12 at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith with Caro Russell officiating. Burial was at the Elmwood Memorial Park.

He was born in Murray. He married Doris E. Dyvad in 1942 at St. Charles, Mo. He worked as a flight engineer on the B-24 Bomber with the U. S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He had been employed by the U. S. Department of Agriculture for more than 40 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the American Legion and Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include his wife; seven children, Jo Ann Snyder of Dallas, Texas, Jerry Miller of North Platte, Neb, Kenneth Miller, Randy Miller and Kathy Reynolds, all of Abilene, Texas, Margaret Miller of Florence, Colo., and Joy Middleton of Glendora, Calif.; one sister, Fern Cooper of Winterset; one brother, Keith Miller of Hewitt, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
