Winterset Madisonian - March 2, 1994

Frank L. Rankin, 63, of Winterset, died February 23, 1994 at his home. Military graveside services were held February 28, 1994 at the Winterset Cemetery with the Pastor Dennis Niles officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

He was born November 12, 1930 to Frank LaVere and Zona (Fryer) Rankin in Madison County. He married Marie Wines in Stuart on November 25, 1951. He was a bridge construction worker and a lifetime resident of Madison County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving relatives include his wife; two daughters, Linda Hudson and husband John of Norwalk, and Carolyn Benedict and husband Clifford of Winterset; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
