Nicholas Ross Solberg, 5, of Johnston died Oct. 14, 2000, of a brain tumor at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
A memorial service will be held today (Wed. Oct. 18) at 1 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Grimes. Burial will be at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes.
Nicholas Solberg was born Oct. 1, 1994, in Des Moines to Craig and Michelle Solberg. He had lived in Johnston since 1999. He had previously resided in Grimes from 1995 to 1999. Nicholas was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Grimes and had attended two years of the Early Childhood Program at Grimes Elementary School.
He is survived by his father and mother; grandparents, Marvin and Lucille Solberg of Floyd and William D. and Lorraine Martens of Winterset; 16 aunts and uncles; and 17 cousins.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Caldwell-Raddatz Hickman Chapel.
