Oscar Hildebrand Died Saturday

Oscar Hildebrand of near Winterset, a long-time resident of Madison county, died Saturday, May 20, at Mercy hospital in Des Moines. He was 86 years of age.

Mr. Hildebrand was a native of Madison county, and had spent 65 years of his life here. He was a son of W. S. and Eldora Barrows Hildebrand, and was born here Oct. 23, 1885.

He had retied from farming in 1965, and had spent the last six years at the home of his son in Des Moines.

In addition to the son, Irvin Hildebrand of Des Moines, he leaves one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hugh and Rhyno Hildebrand of Winterset; and a sister, Mrs. Charlie Allen of Winterset.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Newton Coughenour, pastor of the First United Methodist church here. Burial was made in the North McDonald cemetery.
