Wednesday, February 6, 1946MRS. ALICE HARRIS OF EARLHAM DIES
Native of England, Had Lived at Earlham for Many Years
Earlham--(Special)--Mrs. Alice Harris, a resident of Earlham for many years, was found dead in her home here Feb. (sic) 26. She had suffered a stroke a few years ago. She was 66 years of age.
Mrs. Harris was born at Kellett, England, and came to this country with her parents at the age of three years. The family settled at El Paso, Ill., but after her marriage she came to Iowa, where she had since lived.
She is survived by three children: Teddy Lile Harris of Dallas Center, Mrs. Ruth Kenworthy of Des Moines, and Mrs. Jessie Hester of Earlham. She also leaves nine grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Lee Kamp of Estherville.
Funeral services were held Monday of last week from the Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. C. P. Shepard of Lake City.
