Gladys Moore, 67, Dies At Hospital

Gladys Lucille Moore, 67, died last Friday at the Madison County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Moore had lived in Madison County since 1946, coming from Dallas County.

Mrs Moore was born July 3, 1905, in Jasper County, a daughter of Alfred and Minnie Louise Roush. She was married to Roland J. Moore on Sept. 26, 1925 in Chariton.

Mrs. Moore is survived by seven children; George Moore of Winterset, Robert Moore of Des Moines, Mrs. Margaret Harper of Winterset, Larry Moore of Winterset, Mrs. Harriet Hemingson of Ames, Mrs. Phyllis Jones of Des Moines and Joseph Moore of Booneville; also three sisters, Marcylene Countryman of Des Moines, Irene Roby of Ogden and Orene Kaiser of Phillipsburg, Kansas, two brothers; Alfred Roush Jr. of Dexter and Richard Roush of Ankeny and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who died in 1956, a brother and a sister.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Zaiser in charge. Burial was made at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
