Mary Ann Sylvina Grover

Mary Ann Sylvina Grover, daughter of Amana and Harriett E. Grover, was born November 11, 1855, near LaGrange, Ill., and passed to her eternal reward April 5, 1931 at her home near Lorimor, at the age of 75 years, four months and 24 days.

She was united in marriage to Isaac P. P. Reynolds, December 18, 1876. To this union two children were born, R. M., of Scotia, Nebraska, and Mrs. Pearl Gardner, Des Moines.

The first three years of their married life were spent at LaGrange, Ill., and then they removed to Corning Iowa. They returned to LaGrange in 1882 and came back to Corning in 1889. They have spent the intervening years in various parts of the state, moving to their present location in the spring of 1905.

When a girl she attended the services of the Congregational church in which her father held an official position. Later she became a member of the United Presbyterian church of Patterson. Shortly after moving to Lorimor she renewed her covenant with God.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, one son, one daughter, one brother and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at Barney Tuesday, the 7th of April, 1931, at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Mrs. Wolfe, of Lorimor. Interment was made in Barney cemetery.
