CLARENCE HOGAN OF WINTERSET DIES

Clarence T. Hogan of Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Memorial hospital here. He was 64 years of age, and had been in failing health for several years.

Mr. Hogan was a son of John and Agnes O'Laughlin Hogan. He was born near Winterset June 26, 1907. During his active life he engaged in farming, but retired in 1958 and moved into Winterset.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church at Winterset.

Mr. Hogan never married, and nearest surviving relatives are several cousins.

The rosary was recited for him at Collins Funeral home last Friday evening led by Msgr. John W. Higgins, pastor of St. Joseph's church. Funeral services were held Saturday from the church, with Monsignor Higgins officiating. Burial was made in St. Ambrose cemetery in Des Moines.
