Services for Mabel Nellie Minard, 84, Truro, who died Nov. 28 at the Madison County Hospital were held Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Kale Funeral Home at Truro with the Rev. Jim Patrick of Indianola officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.
Born at Oakland, Iowa on March 15, 1900, she was the daughter of Edward and Nellie Jones McClure. She was married in rural St. Charles on March 15, 1922 to Clyde Minard.
She spent most of her life as a housewife and was a member of the Sixty-Plus Club, Senior Citizens, the Broadhorn Church and the Ladies Aid at Broadhorn Church.
Survivors include a son, John Minard and wife Jeanne of Truro; and three sisters-in-law, Virgie McClure of Osceola, Frances McClure of St. Charles and Dorothy McClure of Marshalltown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and a sister.
