Sarah Miller, Winterset

Sarah A. Miller, 88, of Winterset, died Sept. 3, 1994 at her home. Funeral services were Sept. 6, 1994 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset. The Rev. David Bauer officiated with burial at the Steamboat Rock Cemetery at Steamboat Rock.

She was born Dec. 16, 1905 in Steamboat Rock to Andrew Jackson and Emma Melinda (Gelhorn) Bear. She married John Williard Miller on Aug. 16, 1928 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She has been a resident of Winterset for the past 50 years. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and the Current Topic Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother; and two sisters.

Surviving relatives include one daughter, Emmajean M. Goetsch and husband LaVerne of Hollister, Mo.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
