JACK STEVENS, Kansas

Jack E. Stevens, 58, of Salina, Kan., died Jan. 8, 1995 at his home in Salina, Kan. Memorial services were Jan. 11, at the Ryan Mortuary in Salina, Kan. with Masonic graveside services performed by the Masonic Lodge 60. The Rev. Paul Robbins officiated. The body was cremated and inurnment was at the Roselawn Cemetery in Salina, Kan. A memorial service will be held in Winterset Jan. 21 a 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church.

He was born in Winterset on May 4, 1936 to Emil E. and Velma D. (Breese) Stevens. He married Mary Jean Stevens. He was a self-employed claims adjuster for 20 years and owner/operator of Frontier Adjusters of Salina. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 50, Knight Templar, Royal Arch Mason, and Cryptic Mason, all of Liberty Lodge 50 in Liberty, Mo.; and a member of Salina Isis Shrine.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Surviving relatives include his wife; two sons, Timothy J. Stevens of Houston, Texas, and Jeffrey Stevens of Des Moines; one daughter, Tracey Manson of Madrid; one brother Larry Stevens of Des Moines; one sister, Marilyn Gentry of Red Oak; and three grandchildren.
