Malinda Marston Services Held

Funeral services were conducted recently for Malinda J. Marston, of Dexter, who died March 30 at the age of 95.

Mrs. Marston was born in Madison County on March 31, 1879. She had lived in Dexter for the past 31 years and had lived in Madison County prior to that.

She was married to Edwin Fletcher Marston on January 12, 1898.

Surviving are six children; Everett Marston of Joliet, Ill.; Mable Knox of Parma, Idaho; Velma Babcock of Oaklawn, Ill.; Dortha Findley of Minooka, Ill.; Martha Webb of Dexter; and Pearl Secrest of Macksburg. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were held at the Dexter United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Evelsizer officiating. Burial was in the Penn Center Cemetery.
