CORA MARLEY OF WINTERSET DIES

Death Occurred Here This Tuesday at Age of 88 Years

Mrs. Cora Marley, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Tuesday, Oct. 1 at a Winterset nursing home, where she had lived the past year. She was 88 years of age.

Mrs. Marley was the former Cora McDole, daughter of Nathan and Martha Smith McDole. She was born in Warren county but moved to the Winterset area early in life. She was married here Oct. 13, 1897 to John Marley. They lived for many years in Des Moines. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kate Fick of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Blanche Fox of Los Angeles; a son, Thomas Marley of Des Moines; a brother, James McDole of Ft. Lauderdale, Mrs. Alma Duff and Mrs. Harriett Olmsted of Des Moines and Phoebe McDole of Winterset. She also leaves five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home conducted by the Rev. Donald Callison of Indianola. Burial will be made in the Winterset Cemetery.
