WALTER STONEHOCKER, Lorimor

Walter Stonehocker, 67, of Lorimor died of cancer Wed., Dec. 26, 1991, at Veterans Medical Center in Knoxville. Services were held Sat., Dec. 29 at Fisher Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Panther Creek Cemetery near Adel.

Mr. Stonehocker, a retired self-employed truck driver and well-digger, was born in Linden, Sept. 7, 1923 and moved to Lorimor from Chariton 20 years ago. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Adel Veterans of Foreign Wars and Teamsters Union.

Survivors include five daughters, Wilma Turner, Karen Balliet, Rebecca Stonehocker, Patresa Stonehocker and Evelyn Stonehocker, all of Des Moines; five brothers, Carl and Lloyd both of Redfield, Lester of Winterset, Ben of Macksburg and Richard of Lorimor; 11 gandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
