When she was 14 years old she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized into the Congregational church in Monroe township.

A few years ago she moved her membership to the Methodist church in Winterset.

During her illness she expressed her faith in Christ.

She loved her home and was best satisfied there, doing for her family. She was always cheerful and generally sang at her work.

She loved flowers and the beautiful orderly things in life, and though tired, and worn she would still have a smile for everyone.

She will be sorely missed in her home and her community and our only comfort is God in his wisdom knoweth best.
