Mr. S. Maker died at the residence of Mr. J. H. Trindle April 28th. This is the case to which Dr. C. M. Dodge alludes in your last issue as spotted fever. The general impression here is that while his advice as to how to proceed in case of an attack of the disease is good, the anouncement of its appearance in this neighborhood is premature; the general belief being that Mr. Maker died of inflammation of the bowels.
