Page 5, Column 4Joe McGlone died at the penitentiary last Saturday after serving only a month or two of a year’s sentence. He was sent up from this county at the February term of court for burglarizing a store at Bevington.

May 31, 1900Joe McGloon, who was serving time at Fort Madison for the robbery of Howell's store at Bevington, died Saturday morning after a short illness with pneumonia, and the remains were brought to Bevington Monday for burial.

Joseph McGloon, who was convicted of robbing Harrell’s store at Bevington, at the February term of court and sentenced to serve one year in the penitentiary, died last Saturday, and his remains brought to this county and interred in North River cemetery.
