MRS. FRED VICTORA OF WINTERSET DIES

Succumbs at Age of 51 After Several Years of Illness

Mrs. Fred Victora, long-time resident of the Earlham community whose home in recent years has been in Winterset, died Sunday at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines following a lingering illness. She was 51 years of age.

Mrs. Victora was the former Ann Christina Kouba. She was born near Prescott on July 9, 1894, the daughter of Joseph and Christina Kouba.

She lived in Adams county until her marriage to Fred Victora of Earlham, which occurred March --, 1924, at Creston. Their married life was spent near Earlham, until they moved to Winterset in 1938.

Mrs. Victora is survived by her husband; her father, Joseph Kouba of Prescott; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Miller of Corning, Mrs. H. Britten of Creston, and Blanche Kouba of Prescott; and one brother, George Kouba of Prescott.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday, with requiem mass at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. J. J. Judge. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
