August 1969MAUD MCDONALD DIED FRIDAY
Mrs. Maud McDonald of Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Friday, Aug. 1, at Memorial hospital here. She was 89 years of age.
Mrs. McDonald was the widow of Luther McDonald whose death occurred in 1950.
She was the former Maude (Maud) Amy, daughter of John B. and Cedate Anderson Amy, and was born in Douglas township July 18, 1880. She was married to Mr. McDonald at Winterset on Feb. 1, 1905.
Mrs. McDonald was active in the Worthington Methodist church for many years.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death also by an infant daughter. She leaves a brother, Lee Amy of Ft. Logan, Colo., and a sister, Floy Amy of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath of Indianola. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
