Wednesday, February 26, 1969MRS. TED STOUT Dies At Ames
Mrs. Clyde Sylvia Stout of Patterson died Friday, Feb. 21, 1969, at a hospital in Ames, at the age of 84 years.
She had been making her home in Ames with her son, Marvin Stout, since the death of her husband in 1967.
Mrs. Stout was the former Clyde Sylvia Etchison, daughter of James and Elizabeth Etchison. She was born at Patterson Nov. 8, 1884. She was married to Bird W. "Ted" Stout on Feb. 15, 1911, at Kansas City, Mo. His death occurred Oct. 19, 1967. Their life was spent in Madison county.
In addition to her son, she leaves four grandsons. She was the last surviving member of a family of eight children.
Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial was made in Montpelier cemetery at Patterson.
