Services for William Snyder

William W. Snyder, a retired farmer living in Patterson since 1962, died Sunday, June 29, 1975, in Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Snyder was born November 6, 1892, the son of William g. Snyder and Amanda Simmons. His birth was in Dallas County, on a farm near Redfield, Iowa.

The marriage of Mr. Snyder to Margaret G. Hassler took place March 15, 1916, in Underwood, North Dakota. The couple had ten children.

Mr. Snyder is survived by his wife, Margaret Snyder, four sons and five daughters. They are:

Raymond Snyder of Lytton, Iowa; Duane Snyder of Winterset and Harold and Larry Snyder of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Rosalee Crawford, Rosemead, California; Mrs. Pearl Greenslade, Adel, Iowa; Mrs. Dorothy Watters, Dallas Center, Iowa, Mrs. Doris Greenslade, Antioch, California and Mrs. Violet Hawk, Phoenix, Arizona.

Also surviving Mr. Snyder are 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Two brothers survive, Carl Snyder of Winterset and Farrell Snyder of Paradise, California and two sisters; Mrs. Mary Cleveland, Bismark, North Dakota and Mrs. Vica Wilke of Underwood, North Dakota.

Proceeding Mr. Snyder in death were his parents, two brothers and an infant daughter.

Funeral services for William Snyder were conducted Wednesday, July 2, 1975, at 1:30 p.m. from Collins funeral Home in Winterset with burial in Brethren Cemetery, Dallas Center, Iowa. Rev. Eldon Ringle officiated.
