Death of Ina Long

Ina A. Long, daughter of Gordon D. and Manerva E. Hook Bloom was born near Milo, Iowa, Jan. 24, 1888 and died at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales, New Mexico, Feb. 15, 1978.

She was united in marriage to Benjamin F. Long, Sept. 1, 1915. The couple had one son.

She is survived by her son, Charles Frances and daughter in law Christine of Roswell, New Mexico; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, two sisters; Stella McNair and Myrtle Fair Greer, and two brothers Melvin and Ernest Bloom.

Mrs. Long joined the Milo Methodist Church at an early age, later transferred to Winterset Methodist Church. She moved to Winterset in 1947, where she resided with her sister, Myrtle Greer, until she moved to New Mexico in 1975.

Graveside rites were held Feb. 18, 1978 at Belmont Cemetery, Milo, Iowa with Rev. Howard Lord officiating.
