Carmelita B. Robertson, Truro

Carmelita B. Robertson, 69, died April 26 at her daughter’s home in Truro. Funeral services were held Tues., April 28 at Calvary Baptist Church, St. Charles, with Pastor Dough Helton officiating.

She was born May 21, 1922 in Freeland, Pa. To Alex H. and Nancy M. (Gregerino) Bussolotta and married Louis Arthur Robertson on April 1, 1943 in Tennessee. She was a retired federal employee and a member of NARFE, Bel Air, MD Homemakers Club and Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Robertson moved to Truro from Maryland eight months ago to reside with her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband and four sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lou Parker, and husband, Dean, of Truro; two sisters, Anna Rusinak of Bridgeport, Conn. and Regina Dubord of Danvers, Mass.; a brother, Anthony H. Bussolotta of Bridgeport, Conn.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery.

CARMELITA B. ROBERTSON

Carmelita B. Robertson, daughter of Alex H. and Nancy M. Bussolotta, was born May 21, 1922, in Freeland, Pa. and died April 26, 1992, at her daughter’s home in Truro. She was 69.

Mrs. Robertson was married April 1, 1943, to Louis Arthur Robertson in Tullahoma, Tenn. The couple were the parents of a daughter, Mary Lou.

While living in Maryland, Mrs. Robertson was employed by the federal government. She was a member of the Bel Air, Maryland Homemakers Club as well as the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She has also been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church at St. Charles since moving to Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Robertson; parents; sisters, Elizabeth Damico, Irene Petro, Agnes Sevemak and Connie Nolan.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Parker and her husband, Dean, of Truro; grandchildren, Nancy Hagan and her husband Todd of Clarion, Christina Brommel and her husband Mark, of Indianola and Rachel K. Parker of Indianola; great-grandson, Colby Dean Brommel of Indianola; sisters, Anna Rusinak of Bridgeport, Conn. and Regina Dubord of Danvers, Mass.; and a brother, Anthony H. Bussolotta of Bridgeport, Conn. as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Robertson were Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles. The Rev. Doug Helton officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service. Pat McKinney, organist and Steve and Tim Porter and Mark Brommel, vocalists provided the music selections, How Great Thou Art and Blessed Assurance.

Casket bearers were Larry Shreves, Arthur McKinney, Steve Porter, Tim Porter, Archie Moorman and Francis Henrickson. Honor Bearer was Garry Bedwell.

Interment was in the St. Charles Cemetery with arrangements by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.
