FUNERAL AT ADEL FOR A. D. LITTLE

Funeral services for A. D. Little, owner of Winterset Concrete Co. and a former Madison county farm operator, were to be held this Wednesday morning from the Fisher Funeral Home in Adel.

Mr. Little died Monday, Dec. 9, one day before his 78th birthday, at Younker Rehabilition Center in Des Moines. Death was attributed to a massive stroke, following a brief illness.

A son of E. D. and Laura Strong Little, he was born in Illinois on Dec. 10, 1890. He lived in Des Moines for about 30 years, where he was an executive with Pittsburg-Des Moines Steel Co. For the past 14 years he has resided in Adel, where he owned and actively managed the A-D Lumber Co., the Adel Ready Mix Co., and the Dexter Lumber and Ready-Mix.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; three sons, Ralph of Geneva, Illinois, Howard of Santa Cruz, Calif. and Don W. Little of Winterset; three daughters, Jean Kellogg of Sunnyvale, Calif., Harriett Fredrigill of Palo Alto, Calif., and Carolyn Towle of Los Altos Hills, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and one brother, Frank Little of near Geneva, Illinois.

Officiating at the service Wednesday morning was the Rev. Woods of the Adel Christian church. Burial was in the Glendale cemetery in Des Moines.
