Services Held For MRS. DOROTHY THORPE

Mrs. Dorothy Marie Thorpe, 65, of 312 West Filmore, died Thursday, December 28, 1978, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, at Collins Funeral Home.

Burial was in Winterset Cemetery with Rev. Alan Parker officiating.

Born at Storm Lake, Mrs. Thorpe was the daughter of Robert and Florence Smith LaBron. She lived in Winterset most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Alta, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant brother.

Survivors include her mother, a son, Larry Lee Thorpe of Des Moines; a daughter, Linda Marie Wenger of Winterset; and a sister, Gwendolyn Lindberg, also of Winterset.
