A funeral mass was held for Mary Elizabeth "Ting" Lewis, 89 on Wed., March 17 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Scottsdale, Ariz., with a rosary service held the preceding night. Mrs. Lewis died March 13, 1993 in Scottsdale. Entombment was at the St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.
She was born May 11, 1903 in Winterset, the daughter of James and Margaret (Nolan) McNamara. She married Herman H. Lewis at St. Joseph's Church in Winterset. She and her husband owned and operated the Lewis Drug Store (now Jackson Pharmacy) while living in Winterset. They moved to Tempe, Ariz. in 1942 and operated the Lewis Pharmacy in Mesa, Ariz. for 17 years.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Jim Lewis, Peg Sudbrack and Biz Stiteler, all of Scottsdale, and Janet Ryan-Miller of Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
