ELIZA HEATH BEVINGTON

Eliza Heath Bevington was born near Columbus, Ohio, June 10, 1836, and departed this life October 27, 1902, at 2 a.m., aged 66 years. She came from Ohio to Madison county in the month of January 1856 and made her home with her sister, Mrs. Armberg, and on the 27th day of October 1857 she was married to C. D. Bevington and hence died on the forty fifth anniversary of her marriage.

From this union two children were born, Irvin C. Bevington, who died March 30, 1901, and Mayme Bevington, now Mrs. S. D. Alexander. She leaves two sisters with one residing at Los Angeles, California, and one living at Denver, Colorado.

Mrs. Bevington united with the Methodist church of this place some forty years ago, and was still a member at the date of her decease. For many years she had been afflicted with failure of her eyesight to such an extent as to practically prohibit her from enjoying society and from waiting upon the services of her church.

Her final illness dates back for some time, but through it all she was calm, serene, and resigned to the will of her maker and finally fell asleep in trust with God.
