JAMES R. PERRY DIES IN DES MOINES

Funeral Services Were Held Here Saturday for Former Resident

James R. Perry, former resident of Madison county, died last Thursday at his home in Des Moines. He was 57 years of age.

Mr. Perry was a native of near Decatur, Ill., where he was born July 26, 1886, the son of Mose and Mary Perry. He moved from Illinois to Madison county in 1900.

On Oct. 16, 1906, he was married to Pearl Allen of Peru. They were the parents of four children. Surviving are his wife; the four children, Mrs. Velda Osborn of Prole, Mrs. Isabelle Howard of Des Moines, and Jean and Doris Perry at home. He also leaves seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Turner of Decatur, Ill., and Mrs. Laura Park of Findly, Ill.; and seven brothers, William and Raymond Perry of Milwaukee, Byron Perry of Ohio, Frank Perry of Des Moines, Ivan Perry of Decatur, Roy Perry of Battle Creek, Mich., and Fred Perry of Detroit.

Funeral services were held from the Ramsey-Richards Funeral home Saturday in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
