Services for Mae Naomi Lane, 96, Truro, who died April 30, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held May 3, at the United Methodist Church at Truro with the Rev. Ann Louise Weisenfluh of Truro officiating. Burial was at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Born Sept. 25, 1891 near Princeton, Ill., she was the daughter of William and Emma Johnson Patterson. She attended Adams County schools and attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls.
On Feb. 28, 1912, she was married to Ralph E. Lane at Nevinville, Iowa. She had lived in Iowa since her family moved from Illinois in 1901. She was a member of the W.S.C.S., the Truro Garden Club, the Oak Run Circle, and U & I Sunday school class and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Truro.
Survivors include daughters, Bernice Henry and husband John of Lorimor and Helen Skaggs and husband Harry of Earlham; sons, Ward and wife Alberta of Truro and Orval and wife Claudine of Independence, Mo.; a brother, Kermit Patterson of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, a daughter, two brothers and a sister.
