Doris Jean (Harpole) Lahner, 76, of Northfield, Minn., died Aug. 12, 1999 at her home.
Graveside services of the cremains will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Montpelier Cemetery near Patterson with Rev. Robert Barrick officiating. Visitation and a reception for all friends and family will immediately follow at the Patterson United Methodist Church.
Doris Lahner was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Madison County to James and Irma (Wildin) Harpole. A 1940 graduate of Patterson High School, she also was a graduate of the American Institute of Business College in Des Moines. She married LaVeryl (Les) Lahner on Nov. 28, 1943. Doris was a homemaker and former secretary.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by one daughter, Rosalyn Paultzke (husband Gary) of Northfield, Minn.; two sons, Ronald Lahner (wife Kristen) of Stillwater, Minn., and James Lahner (wife Traci) of Plymouth, Minn.; three sisters, Maxine Hull (husband Spencer) of Winfield, Marilyn Osborn (husband Gary) of Des Moines, and Jo Ann Allen (husband Charles Wayne) of Winterset; six brothers, Murray (wife Ruth) of St. Paul, Minn., Francis Harpole (wife Maxine) and Marshall Harpole (wife Georgia) both of Winterset, J. Merritt Harpole (wife Teddi) of Mabank, Texas, Stephen Harpole of Cheyenne, Wyo., Brian Harpole of Longmont, Colo.; and eight grandchildren.
