YOUNG WINTERSET MAN DIED SUNDAY

Eugene Hircock, Aged 26, Succumbs to Old Injury

Eugene W. Hircock of Winterset died Sunday after several years of failing health. He was 26 years of age.

The young man was the son of Mrs. Dola Ragen of Winterset. In December, 1936, he suffered an injury which finally caused his death after six years.

He was well known here among the young people of this community. He was a member of the Church of Christ for 13 years.

Eugene Hircock was born near Winterset on Sept. 13, 1916, the son of Floyd and Dola Hircock. His father died in 1926.

He is survived by his mother; his step-father, B. C. Ragan; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Gunter; a half-brother, George Ragen; and two half-sisters, Virginia and Doris Marie Ragen; three step-brothers, Marion, Bennie and Delbert Ragen; his grandmother, Mrs. M. A. Nelson and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Hircock.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Reed Kessler, assisted by the Rev. L. F. Davis.
