JOSEPHINE CLARK, Adel

Josephine L. Clark, 77, of Adel, died of heart failure on July 15, 1996 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. July 18 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Burial will be at the Earlham Cemetery.

She was born in rural Winterset, and had lived the past eight years in Adel. She married Charles Butler Clark on Oct. 15, 1949 in Chariton. She was a homemaker for the past 30 years and was formerly a beautician. She was a member of the Dexter Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Surviving relatives include her husband; her two sons, Charles Clark of Perry and Rodney Clark of Adel; two sisters, Grace Atkins of Fairfield Bay, Ark., and Belle Zora Lucas of Winterset; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
