Clell Kilmer, Winterset

Clell H. Kilmer, 87, of Winterset died Oct. 26, 2005 at Winterset Care Center North. A memorial service was held Monday, Oct. 31, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Burial of the cremains was at Winterset Cemetery.

Clell Kilmer was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Madison County to Arthur H. and Mary E. (Cellan) Kilmer. He was united in marriage to Lila L. Adams on Oct. 27, 1943, in Maryville, Mo. Clell worked for several railroad lines from 1943 to 1962. In 1962, he began his 18-year career with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Winterset United Methodist Church and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Lila of Winterset; one daughter,Judy Crabb of Lorimor; one son, Jim Kilmer of Murfreesboro, Ark.; and four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
