Beverly Jean Love was born the daughter of Fred and Lillian Acott Dhabalt in Des Moines, Iowa on September 3, 1937. Beverly died at Mercy Hospice in Johnston after a brief battle with lung cancer at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 18 days.
Beverly grew up in Des Moines and moved to Earlham in 1962. Beverly and Robert Love were married September 25, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa. This union was blessed with three children: Gary, Pam and Bobby.
Beverly worked at the Hometown Market in Earlham for many years. She enjoyed her Friday night card games at her home. She loved to play the slots and went to Las Vegas several times. Robert and Beverly traveled all over the states in their motor home and wintered in Brownsville, Texas a couple of years. Beverly loved to spend time with family especially her grandchildren. They called her the “Yahtzee Queen” and also “Mammy”.
Beverly is survived by her son: Gary Love and wife Paula of Waukee, and their children Allison, Stephanie and Benjamin; daughter: Pam Love Hunter and husband Tim of Afton and their children Rob and Rusty Putnam and great-grandson Ryan Putnam; brothers: Fred Dhabalt and wife Doris of Des Moines; Roger Dhabalt and wife Sharon of Des Moines; Terry Dhabalt and wife Brenda of Earlham.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, son Bobby and sisters Pam Dhabalt and Coleen Palmer.
