Funeral services were held this Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist church in Macksburg for Eva Pearl Thomas, age 86.
Mrs. Thomas died Monday, March 25, 1963, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset.
The daughter of Thomas and Hulda Whitworth, she was born at Macksburg on Feb. 23, 1877. She was united in marriage to James Thomas on May 25, 1904 at Macksburg. He preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1949.
Surviving are two children, Dale of Lorimor and Mrs. Hazel Eivins of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Officiating at the funeral Wednesday was the Rev. Don Frank. Burial was in Moon Cemetery.
