Robert M. Jamison, Winterset

Robert Milton Jamison, 87, of Winterset died of a kidney ailment, Nov. 1, 1997 at the Community Care Center of Winterset. Funeral services were Nov. 4 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Dr. Bobby G. Dickerson officiated and burial followed at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines.

He was born in West Des Moines, on Sept. 14, 1910 to Arthur Shepard and Melissa (Herlson) Jamison. In July of 1938, he married Hazel May Ward in Trenton, Mo. He served in the Armed Forces during WW II. He was a heavy equipment operator for Union Hall 234 before retiring. He lived in Madison County for 33 years having come from West Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister; and one granddaughter.

Surviving relatives include one son, Arthur L. Jamison of Lincoln, Mo; and three grandchildren, Joni Jamison Bush, Jason Jamison and Jessica Jamison.
