Wednesday, December 6, 1944Robert J. Stout, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lytton Stout of Winterset, died suddenly Tuesday night as he was being rushed to the Winterset hospital.
Cause of the boy's death had not been determined Wednesday. He was apparently in normal health when he went to bed Tuesday night, but awoke ill in the night. A doctor was called but could not be obtained, and the boy's father started to the local hospital with him. the boy died about the time they reached the hospital.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed definitely Wednesday, but the rites will probably be held this Friday from Anderson's Funeral home.

Robert Jackson Stout died suddenly December 6 in Winterset at the age of 14. He was born in Iowa city on February 10, 1932, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lytton Stout. He attended the Winterset schools and was in the sixth grade.
Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers, Joe 11, and Donald, 7. A brother, Clarence, preceded him in death in 1934.
Funeral services were held at the Anderson home for funerals December 8, at 2:00 o’clock, with the Rev. Tom Foglesong officiating. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
