OMA TERHUNE, Winterset

Oma Gertrude Terhune, 104, died Dec. 17, 1995 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Graveside services are today, Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Woodburn Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Rohlfs will officiate the services. Visitation is 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.

She was born in Highland Center Oct. 28, 1891 to John Gillmore and Armentia A. (Winecup) Wilson. She married Lewis R. Terhune on July 14, 1916. She was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Woodburn and Clarke County. The past several years she has resided at Winterset Care Center North. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Woodburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; and two brothers.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Helen Stickler and husband Lynn of Osceola and Lucille Otis of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
