Page 4, Column 1The Taylor family south of town have the sympathy of their friends during their sickness. The whole family and a brother of Mr. Taylor, John Taylor, have all been seriously ill with the flu. On Saturday morning, Arthur, who was 16 years old, passed away. On Sunday morning, Glen, the fourth child, aged 8 years, died.
Both were buried Monday afternoon after a short service at the home at 2:30 conducted by Rev. Howard, the pastor of the Presbyterian church.
Some of the other children are seriously ill with the disease, but all that can be accomplished by medicine and nursing, is being done, and it is hoped the rest of the family may recover.

Page 5Influenza Takes Two Young Lives
Arthur and Glen Taylor, aged respectively 16 and 8 years, sons of Mr. and Mr. W. H. Taylor succumbed to influenza on Saturday and Sunday after a brief illness with pneumonia. All of the seven children of the family and Mr. and Mrs. Taylor themselves were affected by the dread malady, and one of the little girls, also, was critically ill for a time but is now recovering.
Funeral services for both the boys thus cut off in the springtime of life, were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Carl Clarke, officiating during the illness of Rev. Howard. Interment was in Earlham Cemetery.
The bereaved family need much sympathy during this time of trial, and they may feel assured that the sympathy of the community is theirs in a profound degree.

Arthur Jack Taylor, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Taylor, was born March 17, 1903 and passed from this life to the life beyond, Dec. 14, 1918; succumbing to an attack of that dreaded disease, pneumonia, following the flu.
He was a bright, unselfish, home loving boy, with a kind word and a happy smile for all his friends. Always on the alert to do anything he could to bring joy and happiness into the lives of his friends. A disposition which endeared him to all who knew him.
