John Howard, Winterset

John Albert Howard, 90, a resident of Winterset Care Center North, died Sunday, March 9, 1997, from cardiac arrest. Funeral services will be held at a later date.

He was born June 27, 1906, the son of George Washington and Sarah (Moore) Howard in Madison County. He was a lifetime resident of Madison County. He was baptized in the Primitive Baptist Church.

He worked as a laborer, laying tile throughout Madison County. He was also employed by the Natural Gas Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and five sisters.
