FAYE BELLE HUSTED, Winterset

Faye Belle Husted, 102, formerly of Truro, died of a heart ailment Oct. 4, 2000, at Integrated Health Services in Winterset.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 8, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with Dr. Bobby G. Dickerson officiating. Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.

Faye Belle Husted was born Dec. 1, 1897, to Jacob and Allie Belle (Cochran) Lewallen of Woodburn. She was educated at the Normal School in Colby, Kan. She married Everett Miles Husted on Jan. 27, 1918, in Colby, Kan. She lived all her married life in Truro until 1972, when she and Miles retired to Lakeview, Ark. They returned to Winterset in 1993. Faye Belle was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Truro where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also was a member of the Truro Garden Club and Lakeview Garden Club in Lakeview, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters, nine brothers, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by five daughters, Mary Phillips (husband Marvin) of Truro, Jo Young (husband Wayne) of Winterset, Frances Egan (husband Ed) of Tigard, Ore., Margaret Davis (husband John) of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Roberta Davis of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
