Former Christian Pastor Buried Here

Rev. E. H. Willey Served at Old Christian Church During Last War

The Rev. E. H. Willey, former pastor of the old Christian church in Winterset, whose death occurred Jan. 27, was brought here for burial in the Winterset cemetery on Wednesday of last week.

The Rev. Mr. Willey's death occurred at his home in East Pleasant Plain, after an illness of 10 months. He was 79 years of age and had served in the ministry for 55 years.

He had served as pastor of the old Christian church in Winterset during the years of the First World war. This church was located where the Kale Apartments now stand.

He is survived by his wife; and four children: Mrs. Thomas Woody of Missouri, Mrs. Don Schroeder of Peoria, Ill., the Rev. S. W. Willey of Cameron, Mo., and Mrs. W. E. Nunan of Washington, Ia.
