CLAYTON VAN HOSEN Death Reported

Clayton A. Van Hosen, the son of Orville B. and Cora Clopton, was born in Winterset. Asbury and Mary Clopton were pioneer residents of this community. He died in a Des Moines hospital on January 29, 1981.

He attended the Winterset schools, West High school in Des Moines and was a graduate of Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri. For many years he was an electrical contractor in Des Moines.

He was married to Agnes Hanson in 1923, who survives him. He also leaves one son, Robert M. Van Hosen, a granddaughter, two great grandchildren, a grandson, his brother, Joe Van Hosen, all of Des Moines and one sister, Mrs. Betty Gibson of Denver.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Carr were held January 31 at the Salvation Army Church in Des Moines and burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
