WALKER D. McCLEEARY Dies in Des Moines

Walker D. McCleeary of Winterset died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1964, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 68 years of age.

Mr. McCleeary was born in Winterset, and lived here until 1916, when he moved to Des Moines. He spent most of his active life there, returning to Winterset in 1959.

As a young man he was married to Marie Criss. Her death occurred in 1954.

Surviving are five sons, Philip and Donald of Los Angeles, Rodney of Winterset, and James and Forrest of Des Moines; two brothers, Alfred of Carlisle and Robert of San Bernardino, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Martin and Mrs. Adelaide Moore of Winterset, Mrs. Edith Pyers of Omaha, and Mrs. Margaret Scarbrough of San Bernardino; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines, with burial made in Highland Memory gardens.
