ROBERT KRUCKENBERG
Robert J. Kruckenberg was born the son of Larry and Judith (Willert) Kruckenberg on September 21, 1964 in Sac City, Iowa and died at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on February 24, 2005 at the age of 40 years, 5 months and 3 days.

Robert graduated from Lytton High School in 1983 and completed the two year auto mechanics program at Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge. Robert joined the Lytton Fire Department in 1982 and was currently serving on the Earlham Fire Department.

He was employed at Home Depot in West Des Moines as the inventory manager. He had previously worked at the Earlham Care Center in the maintenance department. Bob also drove school bus for the Earlham Community Schools. Bob owned “Big Bob’s Barbeque” and was proud of his cooking. Bob was a huge fan of Tony Stewart racing team and enjoyed water fighting contests with the local fire departments. Bob loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, camping, hunting and fishing.

He was a member of the Emanuel and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lytton; a member of the Earlham Fire Department; a member of the Iowa Fire Fighters Association, and a former Earlham City Councilman.

Robert is survived by his wife Shelia of Earlham; parents Larry and Judith Kruckenberg of Lytton; daughters Jamie and Angelina Kruckenberg of Earlham; step-daughter Tonia Cubit and friend Alan Sherman of Johnston; step-son Michael Aves Jr. and wife Robyn of Ankeny; brother Chad Kruckenberg and wife Sarah of Sac City; grandmother Evelyn Kruckenberg of Lytton, step-grandmother Anne Willert of Sac City; 4 grandchildren Jacob and Mallory Aves, and Michaela and Cody Cubit; niece Kaylynn Kruckenberg and nephews Kylin Kruckenberg and Colton Mohr.

Burial: St Johns Cemetery, Lytton, Iowa
