H.DAVID KENT, Service Held For Former Resident

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kent were summoned to La Mesa, California, by the sudden death of their son, H. David Kent. Mr. Kent, who was 42, died of a heart attack Friday, February 20, 1976, while at work.

David was born December 29th, 1933, in New York City, the son of Marian and Harold Kent. He graduated from the Winterset High School with the class of 1951 and served four years in the United States Navy. He graduated from Iowa State University in Ames in 1961 and worked on his master's degree at Utah State University.

He was married to Joan Farnsworth June 13, 1961 at the Latter Day Saint Temple in St. George, Utah. They moved to La Mesa in February 1973 where he was employed as a soil hydrologist with the Cleveland National Forest land management.

He is survived by his wife Joan, three children, Ruth Jane 5, Bret 3, and Ethan Allen, two months, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kent of Winterset and a brother, E.T.C. Fred Kent of Bermuda.

Funeral services were held from the Latter Day Saint chapel in La Mesa, California, February 24th with burial in Enterprise, Utah, February 27th.

Mr. and Mrs. Kent returned to their home by plane February 25th accompanied by their son E.T.C. Fred Kent of Bermuda, who remained with his parents until last Sunday.
