FRED VICTORA Dies at 84

Funeral services for Fred Victora, a long-time resident of Madison county, were held at 10 a.m. this Wednesday, Sept. 1, from Collins Funeral home in Winterset.

Mr. Victora died Aug. 29, 1971 at Madison County Memorial hospital. He was 84 years of age.

A son of Ignatz and Sara Kolosick Victora, he was born near Earlham on Feb. 8, 1887. He was married to Anna Christine Kouba on March 3, 1924 at Creston, Iowa. She died on March 10, 1946.

On May 1, 1956, he was married to Effie Fetters, and she preceded him in death on July 23, 1958.

Mr. Victora farmed for many years, and did carpenter work. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion.

He is the last of his family of three brothers and two sisters.

Officiating at the funeral Wednesday morning was the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur, pastor of the Christian church in Winterset. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
