Death of Mrs. Ena Hodges

Mrs. Ena Hodges, widow of the late William Hodges, died suddenly at her home in Des Moines on Monday morning, December 30. She had taken a cold which settled on her lungs causing her death after two hours illness. Mrs. Hodges, who was past seventy years of age, had three sons in government service. The family lived on a farm east of Winterset for many years, moving to town after the death of Mr. Hodges. About five years age she moved to Des Moines where she made a home for her sons. A brother of Mrs. Hodges, Joseph Nichols resides in St. Charles. Burial took place in St. Charles cemetery.
