Funeral services for Robert A. Walters, 66, were held Fri., June 28 at First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Mr. Walters died June 25, 1991, at Madison County Memorial Hospital, Winterset.
Robert Arthur Walters was born in Jefferson May 3, 1925 to Arthur and Pearl (Robinson) Walters and married Elinor Adams June 17, 1951 in Central City. They came to Winterset from Guthrie Center in 1959. He was a retired Winterset entrepreneur and businessman, a World War II Army veteran, and a former trustee at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, the chamber of commerce, and was an active supporter of little league.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Survivors, include his wife of Winterset; three sons, Mark of Sun Valley, Calif.; Steve of Tacoma, Wash., and Brian of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; two brothers, William and Donald, both of Guthrie Center; two sisters, Pat Taylor of Casey and Barbara McIntosh of Concord, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Burial was in Winterset Cemetery.
