Tony Hendrickson, Winterset

A funeral service will be held Thursday morning, Aug. 19 beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church for E. A. "Tony" Hendrickson of Winterset, who died at his home on Aug. 16. He was 59 years old.

Born in Madison county on March 10, 1923, he was the son of Edward and Mary Holmes Hendrickson.

On November 21, 1942 he married Ruby Irene Cooper in Bethany Missouri, who survives him.

He was a veteran, serving in the Air Force during World War II.

A lifetime resident of this area, he was a self-employed construction worker and member of the American Legion, VFW and DAV.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Gary Edward Hendrickson; and a brother, Gerald Hendrickson.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Winterset; a son, James Hendrickson of Ft. Worth, Texas; three daughters, Beverly Ann Horn of Ames and Barbara Jo Tunell and Betty Lou Hendrickson, both of Winterset; a brother, Doyle Hendrickson of Osceola; a sister, Ila Jackson of Peru; and two grandsons.

Rev. Byron Ayers officiated at the funeral service. Military graveside services were provided by the American Legion in Winterset cemetery.

WINTERSET, IA. – Services for E. A. “Tony” Hendrickson, 59, of Winterset will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church here. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.

Mr. Hendrickson, a self-employed construction worker, died of a heart attack Monday at his home. Survivors include his wife Ruby, a son, three daughters, two grandsons, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at the Collins Funeral Home her until 9 o’clock tonight.
